October Happenings and Wrap Up

Wrap Up

Due to every family event happening this past month, September was a slow month for both reading and writing. But It all worked out, because October starts a mad dash to the end of the year!

My brain knew I needed the break, the calm before the storm if you will. I have so many books I want to read during next three months… hopefully I got the energy!

A Torch Against the Night – Sabaa Tahir     8/10

Saga: Volume Three     7/10

Saga: Volume Four (Mini)     9/10

North and South – Elizabeth Gaskell     8/10

Holding Up the Universe – Jennifer Niven     9/10

               (Review coming out tomorrow!)

Classics Club

This month’s pick is Dracula by Bram Stoker.

What better to get in the Halloween spirit than with the King Vampire himself!

Note: I will also be discussing North and South, but at a later date (probably December).

Coming Up

Towards the beginning of the year I started a segment call ‘Book First/Movie Next’, and I am so happy to bring it back for October.

I’m currently reading The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. Not only am I excited to finally read this divisive book, but I can’t wait to see the movie this weekend. The book review will come out this Friday and the movie review the day after.

I also want to watch some horror classics, so I’m planning on diving into both Interview with the Vampire and Dracula this month and then enjoy the movies afterwards.

I hope everyone has a great month of reading and Happy Halloween!
