Bout of Books #19 Sign-Up

I participated last fall in the Bout of Books Read-a-ton and I couldn’t wait to try again. I fell sick the last couple of days, so I felt like I didn’t get a good sense of my capabilities. Last time I read three books and 1,124 pgs., and I think I can read at least one more book.

Below is a little blurb from their website about the challenge:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 8th and runs through Sunday, May 14th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 19 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

My Goals:

Human Acts – Han Kang: 218 pgs.

Sharp Objects – Gillian Flynn: 252 pgs.

This Savage Song – Victoria Schwab: 427 pgs.

Yes, Please – Amy Poehler: 329 pgs.

Unwind – Neal Shusterman: 335 pgs.

Total: 1,561 pgs.

BOB

This Read-a-ton is going to be intense, but I’m looking forward to the challenge. I won’t be posting my regular features during this week so I can focus on reading, though I’ll be posting updates throughout the week.

Bout of Books also has fun, easy challenges throughout the week, which I’ll be participating where I can.

Anybody else joining B.O.B. #19? What are your goals?

  1. I’ve never heard of this before, but it sounds like something I should do! I just posted something on my blog about my summer reading list and since May 8th is my last week of classes for the year, I should totally get head start on my list. I’ll definitely be following along as you tackle it.
