Reading Challenge: 20 Books of Summer

I’m a couple of days late to the game, but I’m joining the 20 Books of Summer, which is hosted by 746 Books.  I wanted to wait till after BookCon to make my list, since I got a few ARCs that will be coming out this summer.

Rules are simple, I just got till September 3rd to read 20 books of my choosing. Honestly, I’m hoping to be done by August 20th since that’s when the next Readathon begins.

Here’s my list:

sb1 sb1b sb2

1 The Address – Fiona Davis

2 Adventures of Huckleberry Finn – Mark Twain

3 All We Shall Know – Donal Ryan

sb3 sb4 sb5

4 Anything is Possible – Elizabeth Strout

New 4 Fates and Furies – Lauren Groff ***

5 Beartown – Fredrik Backman

6 Borne – Jeff Vandermeer

sb6 sb7 sb8

7 Final Girls – Riley Sager

8 The Glass Castle – Jeannette Walls

9 The Heart’s Invisible Furies – John Boyne

lotf sb11 sb12

10 Lord of the Flies – William Golding

11 My Cousin Rachel – Daphne Du Maurier

12 Red Rising – Pierce Brown

13 Reincarnation Blues – Michael Poore

14 Saints For All Occasions – J. Courtney Sullivan

15 See What I Have Done – Sarah Schmidt

sb16 sb17 sb18

16 Serena – Ron Rash

17 The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo – Taylor Jenkins Reid

18 Sour Heart – Jenny Zhang

sb19 sb20

19 Sula – Toni Morrison

20 White Tears – Hari Kunzru

***I’m a dummy and didn’t realize that Anything is Possible has characters from Strout’s first book. It probably wouldn’t spoil anything, but I’ve had this happen to me before, and afterwards I really wished I had switch to the first book. I’ll have to read both another time.

  1. Some great books on there – a couple I’ve read and several I’d love to read. I loved White Tears and have just ten minutes ago shoved My Cousin Rachel up my own priority list for a long overdue re-read. Have a great summer of reading! 😀
